Senior Environment Artist

We’re looking for a Lead Environment Artist to join our team in Porto, Portugal.

This person will be working directly with the Lead Environment Artist and the Art Director to guide the Environment Art team in our current project, Road Kings, as well as all future projects for Saber Porto.

• Set dressing, structuring assets in prefabs/Blueprints and maintaining established naming / folder conventions.
• Deliver work in accordance with the project's artistic direction.
• Apply optimization to their work.
• Follow references.
• Understand the level design intentions in the game levels they are in charge of.
• Is flexible and able to adapt to different artistic styles.
• Can contribute to artistic and technical best practices of the team and mentor more junior members of the team.
• Demonstrates full autonomy in his work processes and can take feedback on board to turn around outstanding Environment work, within project deadlines.

• Experience in any current DCC (Blender, Maya, Max, Houdini, Substance Painter and Designer, etc.);
• Strong artistic sense with excellent skills in 3D composition, color theory, and lighting.
• Deep understanding of storytelling through level art.
• Expertise in tools and workflows for optimizing game art.
• Demonstrated experience of creating urban, architectural and natural environments using Landscape, Foliage and Megascans toolsets.
• Good knowledge of modeling, texturing and material creation techniques is a strong plus.
• Ability to manage their own time and work within project deadlines.
• Good English and communication skills.
• 10+ years of experience, and/or at least 5 shipped titles, of which one in a Senior role, ideally using Unreal Game Engine.
• Drawing and sculpting skills are an additional plus.
